Urban Flower Kandivali West

The first treehouse within a slum school is located in the SVN School in one of Mumbai´s suburban slums (Kandivali). It is built above the school stage​, it not only offers shade on hot days, but also provides a colorful space to play, rest and draw. The tree house rests on a sturdy steel construction and is built of sustainable materials like bamboo and wood. The roof is made of recycled and translucent plastic sheets allowing the light coming through and providing views to the palm tree above.
